I can't find any references on this on the net. Can anyone provide any? Samohyl Jan 19:04, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

You can't find them because nobody uses the term "Hartmann pipeline", not even Jøhn Hartmann himself. I have no idea why it is used here. Try searching for "CMS Pipelines", which is the name Hartmann's work usually goes by. The primary source is CMS/TSO Pipelines, hosted by Marist College. I removed the IBM-copywritten text from the Example section, and after that the section was too weak to continue to exist, so I deleted it completely. If someone comes up with an example that isn't a copyright violation, they should go ahead and re-create the section. RossPatterson 04:10, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Should we move/rename this page to CMS pipeline? --Tobias Bergemann 07:55, 4 July 2006 (UTC) Yes - Doug Little, a pipeline programmer.[reply]

I used APL\360 and don't recall a deal operator. deal was simply inspired by dealing cards at a bridge table. My fist name is spelled John. If you change the name, please make it CMS/TSO Pipelines jph

And I've never heard the term "Hartmann Pipeline" but only "CMS Pipeline" or even "TSO Pipeline". I've taken the liberty, by the way, of referencing the BatchPipes/MVS page as its BatchPipeWorks component is heavily derived from CMS Pipelines. Hoping that isn't controversial. Fair use rationale for Image:Pipjarg1.jpeg[edit]

Image:Pipjarg1.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rationale has been added, thank you for the warning! RossPatterson 12:34, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've updated John's statement that the image is not copyrighted to take the form that Wikipedia expects, so this won't happen again. Thanks for the warning! RossPatterson (talk) 15:54, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
