Are these really all profane?[edit]

There are several words here that I wouldn't consider profane (faggot and dick for a start). By whose definition are we judging these words profane? — OwenBlacker 15:46, Aug 8, 2004 (UTC)

I used the arbitrary standard of whether I would say them in church or in front of my grandparents. Feel free to edit if you want. -- Tregoweth 04:36, Aug 9, 2004 (UTC)]]
Ass isn't often considered curse word when you are referring to buttocks. But yeah, I agree, perhaps make a category called "Non-curse words sometimes considered bad"? Asshole should stay here though, as it's always rude to call someone an asshole. TheBlazikenMaster 18:30, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
A lot of curse words are not so in some contexts. I'd say that is a bad reason to exclude certain words. --Ivandh (talk) 05:25, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ass is a curse word! It is just the least worst cuss! User:Jackninja5 —Preceding undated comment added 13:26, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
