Discussion[edit]

Contrary to popular belief, butt rot is not a snide attempt at vandalism. The following is copied from talk:Fungus, where this term first appeared. Some erroneous material has been excised. -Smack 18:43, 13 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Is "butt rot" a real fungi disease or vandalism? Crusadeonilliteracy 13:41, 11 Oct 2003 (UTC)
Apparently it's real [says Google]! --Menchi 02:55, 12 Oct 2003 (UTC)
It is very much real. While doing research for a biology paper, I dug up a study of windfall trees in Denmark, and that's how I learned of this phenomenon. -Smack 05:46, 12 Oct 2003 (UTC)
Only 38 edits to this article in 10 years. I'm surprised the title hasn't attracted more vandalism and reversion. I'm still giggling over the title (but am mildly interested in it as serious subject). Going on my watchlist. Plantdrew (talk) 06:06, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
