Untitled[edit]

Cancer? IMDB says she died of diabetes and I'm pretty sure that's why she needed an amputation. Mike H 08:59, Jan 17, 2005 (UTC)

She died of cancer, and the amputation was caused by an untreated blood clot which had nothing to do with the cancer. At the time her doctors referred to the leg issue as phlebitis. I believe that she died of complications from her diabetes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RFoglio (talkcontribs) 05:26, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccuracy regarding Charita Bauer's death[edit]

I am Michael Crawford, Charita Bauer's son. My mother never had diabetes and died of cancer in the lung. Her amputation was necessitated by gangrene caused by a blood clot in her foot.

Biography[edit]

While we're on the subject, this article—ostensibly a biography—contains precious little actual biographical information. We have her birthdate and place, but nothing about her parents, siblings, (non-dramatic) education, or other formative elements. Her death is described, but rather little in between (other than to mention her son's name). Surely the son had a father, for example. Why is all this information treated like it doesn't exist? --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 17:19, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
