Please note that articles on radio stations have to be titled by their call letters. "Q92", for instance, can refer to stations in Montreal, Sudbury, Timmins, Rapid City, South Dakota, Akron, Ohio, Logan, Utah, Little Falls, Minnesota and Queenstown, New Zealand, and that's without even getting to page 4 of the Google search. • 101.5 CIBL - the only non-commercial FM radio station in Montreal . . . This is not true, there are multiple stations in Montreal that are campus radio stations. CKUT at McGill, and the ones at Universite de montreal and Concordia, for example. They are licensed not as commercial stations by the CRTC but as campus radio stations. However, I am not 100% positive, so I didn't change it. Dvsuk17 22:02, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)
I think they probably meant the only non-commercial and independent (not university affiliated). CISM and CKUT are non-commercial, but unlike CIBL, they get their financing from their respective university, so ultimately from the public. CIBL has to manage its budget on its own. -- Mathieugp 15:01, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Information regarding rebroadcasters needs to be validated since some may be out-of-date. E.g. VF2059 98.1 FM Fermont was rebroadcasting CKAC Montreal back when it was a full-service station over 10 years ago. Now that's it's local Montreal area traffic is it rebroadcasting it? It would seem pretty pointless to do so. Gentleman wiki (talk) 17:28, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
