How to reach[edit]

You can reach Kaliurang by taking the main road from the Yogyakarta ring road on the north side. Road signs will tell you where to go and the road is also named after the town (Jalan Kaliurang). Before entering the village itself, visitors from outside are requested to pay a small amount before they are allowed in.

Public buses, large and smaller ones, ply the route without a time schedule. Just stop a bus when you see it. During the weekend the road towards the town can be crowded, you can partially avoid these crowds by taking a motorbike.
