The Bartholomew-Billings article indicates that the ridicule of the Johnson Cult was spread in part because the Aussie govt. didn't want to deal with the "Johnsonites'" political grievances. Original research[edit]

This article contains a lot of what seems like original research, and it has no cites. I removed some of the most egregious offenses (like the paragraph interpreting the events through Marxist historiography), but it needs more work.--Cúchullain t / c 07:59, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've clarified the nature of the "cult" based on the Bartholomew & Billings article, inserted a quote, added relevent categories, and removed the "cargo cult" category, since this clearly is not a cargo cult. Aridd (talk) 10:22, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
