Founded Date[edit]

I am not sure. Founded date in June 22, 1703 on Wikipedia. It was June 16, 1729 on Family Search. Providence County, RI Family Search --Rossdegenstein (talk) 20:22, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

According to that website (which is a wiki), it's precursor was Providence Plantations County, founded in 1703. This agrees with the Rhode Island Atlas of Historical County Boundaries here. It seems it was only renamed in 1729 but continued as the same political entity. kennethaw88 • talk 21:43, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
