Underpants back to front?[edit]

Is that vandalism? It's been in the article for months and no-one's removed it? Miss Pippa 00:31, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)

The underpants quote is correct. I've added a source for it. I think it should stay, as Heatley's obituary points out, it says something about Heatley's low key nature that something as mundane as the direction of his undies is next to a great medical breakthrough in his diary. Deep Fermentation[edit]

Am I to understand that Heatley invented deep fermentation? If so, why isn't the term invented, and why isn't there an article on it. After all, deep fermentation -- the process that produces penicillin in vast amounts -- saved hundreds of millions of lives. Scott Adler 09:14, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discrepancy: Why no Nobel?[edit]

The [Alexander Fleming] article seems to imply that Heatlrey was passed over for the Nobel because "According to the rules of the Nobel committee a maximum of three people may share the prize."
