Unsigned comment[edit]

The explanation for Germania Superior being called superior doesn't match the analogous explanation for Germania Inferior.

I don't know what the date of this is, but this article explains superior as upstream while the "Germania Inferior" explains inferior as downstream. I don't see any non-match. Am I missing the point? What is the point?Dave 13:26, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sextus Lusianus Proculus governeur of Germania superior 93-96[edit]

Sextus Lusianus consul 93 CE was legat of Germania superior before Marcus Ulpius Traianus. You find this in Werner Eck: Diplome, Konsuln und Statthalter: Fortschritte und Probleme der kaiserzeitlichen Prosopographie. In: Chiron, Band 34, 2004, S. 37.
