Chauffeur in 1915[edit]

In the pages of the Houston Chronicle for March 11th 1915 I have found a reference to a C.H. White being a chauffeur for Jesse H. Jones. Is this information independently verifiable and is there reference to this C.H. Vague phrase[edit]

The leading clause of a sentence in the Jesse H. Jones#Reconstruction Finance Chair section reads, "According to Joseph P. Lash, the President considered Jones too conservative..." This is vague, especially since the term probably meant something different in FDR's time. What does this tell us about Jones? It's hard to tell. There is an inline citation, but unfortunately, omits the page number to Eleanor and Franklin. The book cited contains over 900 pages of text.

Is there anyone who can provide a page number and an explanation of this passage? Thanks, Oldsanfelipe (talk) 09:55, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As several months have passed without comment, I move that the removal of this problem sentence would be uncontroversial. The sentence itself is not very helpful, and perhaps not worth the effort to find a valid citation.Oldsanfelipe (talk) 14:54, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Zoning Proponent[edit]

@AquilaFasciata: The Steven Fenberg biography has more on the zoning fight with Cullen. There's enough to create a credible paragraph. I will expand this topic, but I agree that it's not important enough to warrant a section. Oldsanfelipe2 (talk) 17:22, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
