"La Physique Mathématique ne doit pas être confondue avec la Physique Théorique, dont Souriau donne une définition personnelle : la Physique, moins l'expérience et les Mathématiques, moins la rigueur."

Removed this, which is a good joke even in French.

Can someone explain the grounds for attributing to Souriau "the first geometric interpretation of spin"? I don't mean to diminish Souriau's certainly-important work, but why wouldn't this honor be attributed to, say, E. Cartan or H. Weyl, working many decades earlier? --Anon, 24 Oct 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.192.85.133 (talk) 18:40, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't write this sentence but I think you must understand that as : the first geometric interpretation of spin at the classical (non quantum) level as a parameter in the classification of coadjoint orbits of the Group of Galilee or Poincaré (I have added a word in the text). Have you still some objections with that. If yes, please give a reference. Thanks. — PIZ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.228.73.59 (talk) 09:29, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
