Falcon Heene[edit]

I thought this page was going to be about Falcon Heene and the mylar balloon incident, with the subsequent interview with Wolf Blitzer the intrepid and ingenious reporter. But I guess I was wrong, on all counts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.107.146.45 (talk) 11:19, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely. --Midnightdreary (talk) 13:43, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I removed that part, until further reference is given. -- ( drini's page ) 06:45, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, Doc?[edit]

Can somebody clarify if Monck Mason was a fabrication, too? As written, it's not clear. TREKphiler hit me ♠ 21:15, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good question. I'll look that up later tonight and, if I find an answer, I'll clarify the text here. --Midnightdreary (talk) 23:50, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I came across his name in connection with a cross-Channel balloon trip & George Cayley (IIRC), but don't have the source (something to do with aviation pioneers, or maybe Simoneschi's, I think), so it made me wonder. TREKphiler hit me ♠ 02:40, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is the title like this[edit]

Why is the title "The Balloon-Hoax" with the definite article and the hyphen? Why not The Balloon Hoax or just Balloon Hoax? Mike R (talk) 14:53, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't a nickname; it's the standard title given in anthologies. For example: here, here, here, here, and here. It's also used in his first collected works in 1850, here. --Midnightdreary (talk) 15:40, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
