de Hallenburg[edit]

Regarding "de Hallenburg" in the title to this entry, please see my remarks in Discussion under "Engagement of Poland with the sea." Logologist 23:40, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)

In short, Logologist suggested that we shortened the name of the general to just Józef Haller. To me it seems a waste of time, but I won't oppose. On the other hand, why exactly should we change his full name to a shortened version? As long as the redirect is in place, it's ok to me... Halibutt 07:36, July 19, 2005 (UTC)

French[edit]

Was he really under French command in WW1 this appears extraordinary and also contradictory to other aspects of his career before and afterwards.? 62.6.139.11 09:47, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he switched sides. Remember, he was a Pole, not an Austrian or a German. And this does fits his career afterwards :) -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 19:55, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
