First, let me aopoligize for my pre-empitve attack on the renaming of this page. Secondly, let me add my justification for doing so. Wang fu-zi has been renamed Wang Fuzhi to better adhere to pinyin naming conventions. Most of the information for the basis of this article appears to come from a source which uses the term Wang fu-zi. However, this term "fu-zi" makes it sound like "master" Wang, whereas his historical name is Fuzhi (completely different characters). Using the term "zi" or "fu-zi" (it actually should be "fuzi") works for most pre-Han philosophers (Kongzi, Mozi, Laozi, etc.), very rarely do we use it for someone who lived as late as Wang Fuzhi. Thanks for the explanation. In fact the "fu-zi" version appears in a few books, so the mistake seems to have been passed on from writer to writer. Are there any more Wikipedia entries that make this mistake? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 08:10, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
