Untitled[edit]

Could someone please expand this article! On a side note, might be worth mentioning in the article, John Landy used to train around Central Park in Malvern East, Victoria. The oval is now named John Landy Oval. --Harro5 06:06, Apr 15, 2005 (UTC)

There is also Landy Field (not sure of the exact name?) in Geelong, used for athletics and track sports. -- Longhair | Talk 06:35, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Turned into bronze?[edit]

Neat quip about him being "turned into bronze" for looking back. I googled it, looking for something to cite, but the only references I can find are pages that are quoting Wikipedia. "Fact" tag added - citation would be great. (Comment from Rosuav) 122.110.204.15 (talk) 08:49, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Governor infobox[edit]

We have just had an infobox added to the article. It is entirely about Landy's time as governor. I believe that is placing undue weight on what historically will be regarded as the less significant part of Landy's life. It does not reflect the balance of the rest of the article, which hardly mentions his time as governor.

That in itself is a problem in that what is in the lead about that time is disproportionate to the rest of the article. What we need is more info in the article itself about his governorship, and no infobox, unless it somehow covers a lot more of his life than just the 6 years as governor. Other Accomplishments Photo[edit]

The photo for this section has two problems.
It is the same photo as at the top of the article.
It is not other accomplishments it's him running again.
Wouldn't it be better to have a photo of his as a governor here. QuentinUK (talk) 23:10, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
