The interwiki's to de:Fox en nl:Fox seem quite logical, but to pl:Lis and pt:Raposa (desambiguação) is not very clear. Both are only because the animal fox is resp "lis" and "raposa", which is fine on articles, but seems a bit dubious in case of a disambiguation. Taka 29 June 2005 07:35 (UTC)

I removed the red-links, since this list is to long. Also, I put people below, since most (not all) are less well known. Also, few people with the last name "Fox" are actually called just plainly "Fox" (without a first name). Yeah!, Eyrian, No reference (or what you've heared somewhere) is a MUCH WORSE reference than the urbandictionary. What I wrote, and you erased, is also in different dictionaries. I just said, after, that for OTHER meanings people may go and see urbandictionary. What's wrong with that? is useful as the wiki was in the begining. Tell us where? or we will think that you are are meaning that you are always a better reference than the urbandictionary, which is built by all of us. Besides, are you shure that it is not used anywhere in England and only in the Unites States of NorthNorthamerica? You'll note that the bit of knowledge I proffered here was not put into the actual article, and for good reason. It's just a recollection, perhaps giving someone else a chance to dig up a source should they so choose. You cannot cite UrbanDictionary because it is not a reliable source for that kind of information. Listing that "fox" may refer to cleverness is largely redundant; it's relatively simple transferrance from a characteristic associated with foxes, and that certainly doesn't belong on a dab page. --Eyrian 18:16, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

It is also a current term in the UK as well as the USA. I have no idea of its origins but the earliest reference I can remember is from the Waynes World films. I can't see why references from Urban Dictionary are looked down on - Wikipedia is hardly the world's most accurate encycloapedia!!--Xania ^talk 11:37, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Why?

Why does 'Fox' redirect to the page for an American TV network? What about the animal for crissakes? It's time the American bias and dumbing down was removed from Wikipedia. Proposal to have this be the Fox page

There are too many significant Foxes, including the former President of Mexico and Fox broadcasting. Fox now directs to the animal. This should be changed so Fox goes to the disambiguation page. Auchansa (talk) 06:03, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
