Date[edit]

What's the source of the Sept 6 date? The pages in Ext Links just say "September" (as far as I can see), and [1] reckons it was Sept 9 (it may be wrong of course - I don't have anything authoritative I can check it against). --Camembert

This page is tagged as both being original research and not sourced. This seems a little out of line. I was present for a performance of this piece last year, and there were documentation that is consistent with the info on this page. It is a pity I don't remember what specifically they were. Considering the lack of talk about it on this page, I am removing those banners. -20 July 2007

John Cale / etc[edit]

Just ran across a Youtube hosted video that's making the rounds on facebook. Apparently in 1963 John Cale, having been one of 10 pianists to perform the 18-hour piece in Wales (already noted in the article under "first public performance"), appeared on the American game show, I've Got a Secret, with the only member of the audience to have sat through the entire 18 hours. Is that notable? In most articles that would be pop culture / trivia, but inasmuch as Satie is an early composer of what would come to be pop music, and the incident of the performance if not the television aftermath is already covered in teh article perhaps an important cultural manifestation, if we can source this perhaps it would make a useful addition to the article.
