Untitled[edit]

I realize that I did the wrong thing when a copyright violation occurred. What I did was I went back to the previous version and copy/pasted. I think this should be listed as a copyvio and the current contents saved as temp. --Timc 20:55, 2 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I went back and restored the version that was there. I don't think we can copy/paste this to a new article at /temp and use that, since that loses the history of the first ten edits or so. The only copyvio here is a single entry in the history, which shouldn't really be a problem. If it is (i.e. someone complains), it can always be manually removed from the history by a developer. --Delirium 21:24, Jun 14, 2004 (UTC)

Iroquois defeat in 1627?[edit]

The article says he was born in 1625, and he helped conquer the Iroquois at the age of 2. Can someone fix that year? I've never heard of a 2-year-old leading a battle of any sorts. -- Reaper X 22:03, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Immigration?[edit]

"Jean Talon was mostly in charge of populating la Nouvelle France. He did so successfully, bringing more than a quarter or the population of France over."

This does not seem right... — Preceding unsigned comment added by GregRog (talkcontribs) 03:50, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Illustrations of article (photos/pictures)[edit]

Hello, I released a B&W photo of the statue of Jean Talon in Châlons en Champagne into the Public Domain. https://500px.com/photo/58513068/statue-of-jean-talon-first-governor-of-quebec-by-christophe-pierret

Feel free to add it to the article.

Year of birth: 1625 or 1626?[edit]

He was baptized on January 8, 1626, but when was he born? The Catholic Encyclopedia (1913) said 1625, look here. I don`t know any reference for 1626 – somebody else? Otherwise it should be changed. --Trollflöjten (talk) 17:44, 27 August 2018 (UTC) PS: In 2005 User:Fawcett5 has changed the year from 1626 to 1625, source? However, the article is still in the category:1625 births.[reply]

Oh, I'm was wrong, user:Fawcett5 has only added the date of baptism; here has User:Jpbarbier changed the year without any word, without any reference. --Trollflöjten (talk) 19:48, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
