Dislodged by a comet[edit]

Comets, even big ones like Halley, are pretty small beer on the scale of the solar system. Too small to dislodge things from orbits. The bbc source makes more sense. Aristotle reports that when the meteroite landed, a comet was also visible (and may have speculated that the two were connected). More likely is that the association is co-incidental.

Why must the town have been insignificant? Molinari

If there're coins, shouldn't it be quite significant? Even NYC doesn't have coins of its own. Or maybe the Greeks made coins for all Joe-Jane cities. --Menchi 07:14 27 Jun 2003 (UTC)
