Just a suggestion.

Looking at the way VfD for The Thacher School is going, I think the emerging consensus is that this material should be part of the Ojai, California article rather than an article of its own. That happens to be what I think, anyway. In order to avoid losing your work you should save the Wiki-formatted text of the article as you develop it so that you can easily insert it into the Ojai, California article. You probably should continue to make improvements in the current article so that VfD participants can see them.

Try to be prepared regardless of whether the article is kept or deleted, and do be aware that this material is almost certainly acceptable in Ojai, California. (Create a section ==Education== and then a subsection ==The Thacher School==).

If the text gets deleted and you want it back to put it into the Ojai, California article it can be temporarily undeleted for that purpose and I can do that for you if you need it.

See Talk:The Thacher School for more comments if you haven't looked there recently.

OJai, California looks like an interesting place, and I think the article about it could probably benefit from some work. [[User:Dpbsmith|Dpbsmith (talk)]] 11:44, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Thacher alumnus history[edit]

Since you might be on the Thacher campus I'm wondering if you could do any further research on the famous alumnus of Thacher, esp. Hughes and Wilder. Does the library have a collection of old yearbooks? If so, would it be possible to determine the dates of their attendance, and whether they were noted in any capacity? (anecdotes of their time at Thacher, voted Most likely to succeed, Captain of the Gymkhana team, etc). Doing so may slightly stretch the bounds of original research, but it would be very interesting and could improve the Thacher article and the relevent bios as well. Just a thought. Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:ThacherStudyHall.png, which you've sourced to http://www.thacher.org/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 20:39, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
