Be very careful and NPOV of the use of this term. Better call it Tiananmen Incident. Ktsquare

A google search on exact phrase tiananmen massacre returns 3,330 hits, on phrase tiananmen incident returns 1,440, at least some of which refer to the incident which occured in 1976 after the death of Zhou Enlai. I think Tiananmen Incident should be reserved for that.

I must confess that although I am aware of the reasons the Chinese leadership thought their actions were necessary for the good of China I have not set them forth. But I have left lots of white space for them.

This article should be resurrected eventually as a blow by blow account of the events of June 4, leaving the article Tiananmen Square protests as an exploration of the 2 month long events leading up to it. User:Fredbauder
