I am this user. I don't have much to say about myself or my contributions for the time being, as I am quite new here. I have contributed an alternative knot to the trucker's hitch, but did so as discuss this page and that seems to have very little impact (i.e. who sees that a page has received discussion? It doesn't show on the page itself, does it?).
