Sean Hayes[edit]

Change to whatever u think is more appropriate! i am not sticking to any transliteration. (is it actually ME who translate the name?) :P --User:Yacht (talk) 11:04, Mar 27, 2005 (UTC)

i know how that feels. just like the stupid Bush, has three translations in mainland(布什), Hong Kong (布殊) and Taiwan (布希, correct?). that's a good habit. just like when i'm speaking Cantonese, i can't stand the translation of "布什" (u can see how funny the mainland Cantonese media follow the mainland's translation calling him "布什" in Cantonese :D). maybe i tend to use English instead! nice job, man! --User:Yacht (talk) 11:30, Mar 28, 2005 (UTC)

"Syntax" in Chinese[edit]

  • Excuse me, I saw you change the link of "Syntax" in Chinese wikipedia from "語法學" to "句法學"...Any reason for this change? I just think they are the same thing. When the entry in Chinese now is "語法學" but not "句法學", I tend to modify it to the former.--Bellenion 20:09, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Guess who i am[edit]

Ten little niggers went to dine,

One choked himself and then there were nine.

Faye Wong[edit]

Hello Wooddoo-eng, I'm glad to see you are still editing. You made several contributions to Faye Wong including this edit; please can you provide sources for these statements? e.g.

  • the value of her EMI contract, HK$60m;
  • her quotation that she wished to produce "music that I like. I do not care if others don't, though I would be delighted if they do";
  • Faye Wong (1997) didn't sell well in Hong Kong and other damaged areas in Asia, but it did quite well in Taiwan. Also in the mainland, that really got the greater audience's attention. Her status began to rise sharply in China.

We need to quote references for such statments in order to get the article up to Good Article status. I do hope you can help again with this. - Fayenatic london (talk) 19:42, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks for replying in detail. Even though we haven't identified sources, I won't delete these points because they are not disputed. - Fayenatic (talk) 17:02, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Section blanking[edit]

I reverted your edits on Sukiyabashi Jiro. Blanking an entire section is a no-no under wikipedia guidelines. I suggest you considering seeking consensus on the entry's talk page if you suggest to delete a whole section. Re: Template:Section blanking Jtbobwaysf (talk) 19:37, 4 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Di-Dar[edit]

Hi, I hope you are well and still interested in Wikipedia, even though you have not been active here lately. Thank you for expanding the biography of Faye Wong 10 years ago; it was helpful to me in finding out about her. Your paragraph on Di-Dar ([1]) was trimmed from the page back in 2007, but I added it to the page on the album. It was recently removed again ([2]). If you can justify it with citations from reliable sources, please do reinstate it. – Fayenatic London 21:30, 9 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
