  • Delete: Wow, I haven't been keeping up. That must be the explanation, though: I'm not asking for it by the right name. • Delete. Interesting. Interesting to me anyway. You learn something new every day. There should be a place for this phrase and the story that accompanies it somewhere in WIkipedia, but not in its own article. (The Yahoo News reference is to a newspaper story about authorities allowing a company to run ads in busses saying "Read books, get brain," only to discover that "get brain" had a meaning of which they were unaware). Apparently the company placing the ads knew exactly what it was doing... New 'brain' teaser: N-word in ads. "One of the bawdy ads—which declares 'Read Books, Get Brain'—features a curvy, panty-clad woman on her knees, holding an open book." [[User:Dpbsmith|Dpbsmith (talk)]] 00:33, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC) P. S. In the interests of helping us all be well-informed citizens, I will add that http://www.akademiks.com will, at least at the moment, pop up a window showing the "Read Books — Get Brain" ads. • Merge. I believe that oral sex is also the origin of the earlier "brain salad surgery" which an unspeakable 70s band I will not name here used for an album title. -- Jmabel | Talk 02:16, Nov 9, 2004 (UTC)
