Hi,

As a newcomer to Wikipedia on a contrbutor basis, forgive me if my entries are not the quality that is expected.

My name is Rob Townsend and I live in Orange Beach, Alabama.

I was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 20,1953. I went to elementary school in Commack, NY and moved to Rochester, NY in 1965. I was an active member of the First Unitarian Church there since 1978.

I am the proud father of two daughters that currently live in New York and have careers in nursing and music therapy.

I moved to Orange Beach after my 45 year career in machining and manufacturing engineering ended when the company I worked for downsized and eventually moved to Quebec City, Quebec Canada.

My house was virtually destroyed by the storm surge that accompanied hurricane Ivan, and I am currently in the process of getting my life back together.

I currently work in purchasing at Brett/Robinson.

I have made [1] edits to wikipedia, and would like to contribute my knowledge about my interests and professions to enhance WikipediA.
