FM DX[edit]

Thanks for your work on the FM DX page. Just a few nitpicks: the appropriate term for E-skip is Es, not E's (the difference: no apostrophe). Also, I think it's better to either link external links at the end of the article, or use the built-in numbering feature for links next to names. Making names like Girard Westerberg, etc, into plain links is really more of an informal webpage thing than a wiki thing. (If you're not sure what I mean take a look at the article.) Thanks again! [edit]

Hi Ungvichian,

This is actually intended to be the international pronunciation of "Wikipedia" and has been used in transliteration for Japanese, Bengali, Hindi, Khmer, etc. Wikipedias.

Also, if you have any Lao friends, please invite them to lo.wikipedia!

WOST[edit]

They don't appreciate it there if you take things without asking. I've had less than the best of experiences with them so I'd rather have someone else contact them for approval. Mike H 01:46, Mar 20, 2005 (UTC)

I didn't appreciate it that you asked them about me. That was my business. Mike H 03:15, Mar 21, 2005 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Missy Giove.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Missy Giove.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Remember the dot (talk) 00:54, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to wikiFeed[edit]

Hello Ungvichian,

I'm part of a team that is researching ways to help Wikipedia editors find interesting content to contribute to Wikipedia. More specifically, we are investigating whether content from news sources can be used to enhance Wikipedia editing. We have created a tool, called wikiFeed, that allows you to specify Twitter and/or RSS feeds from news sources that are interesting to you. wikiFeed then helps you make connections between those feeds and Wikipedia articles. We believe that using this tool may be a lot of fun, and may help you come up with some ideas on how to contribute to Wikipedia in ways that interest you. Please participate! To do so, complete this survey and follow this link to our website. Once you're there, click the "create an account" link to get started.

For more information about wikiFeed, visit our project page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via my talk page, or by email at wikifeedcc@gmail.com. We appreciate your time and hope you enjoy playing with wikiFeed!

Non-free rationale for File:QF302DMK.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:QF302DMK.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:48, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Gerald Johanssen for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Gerald Johanssen is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Paper Luigi TC 22:35, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:QF302DMK.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:QF302DMK.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification for October 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Khary Payton, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Showtime (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
