Re: the Mahyana article, there's no such word as "chitta" in Sanksrit and thus the compound "bodhichitta" doesn't work. I suspect you're being misled by the fact that the English "ch" sound is represented as a "c" when transliterating Sanskrit words into roman characters, unless it's also aspirated, in which case the "ch" is used. You might take a look at the Devanagari and Sanskrit pages, if you're curious. Citta meaning some version of mind or mental faculty is spelled "citta." -- कुक्कुरोवाच|Talk‽ 18:44, May 14, 2004 (UTC)
