Teacher resources[edit]

Big ol' advertisement for a website. Joyous 23:43, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC) Also Teachers resources, which is a duplicate. Joyous 23:53, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete Advert, Wikipedia is not a web guide. Gwalla | Talk 00:56, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Appears to have been speedily deleted. --Goobergunch 01:21, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Confirmed: "00:09, 5 Oct 2004 Geogre deleted "Teacher resources" (content was: '{{delete}}--TEACHER RESOURCES--This is a great website for teachers and early childhood educators to get information on things such as jobs, less...')" --Goobergunch 01:23, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • I don't think this qualifies for any of the specific cases for speedy deletion. Regular delete both versions as adverts. (Comment: I would appreciate it if someone would formally propose a standard under which we could discuss speedy deletes for adverts.) Rossami 01:41, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete both. One already gone I see, probably not validly but quite reasonably IMO. Andrewa 12:45, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Obvious advert. — Bill 23:37, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • FWIW, I speedy deleted it for having no content but advertising. I was pushing the definition, intentionally, of "spam." Sorry to do that, but my cause was noble. As for whether we can get policies by which this sort of thing is covered, all I can say is that I will support anyone who tries. I did my part, and it didn't work, and I doubt very seriously that anyone else's efforts will be more successful, if they're held in the open. Come on, Wikipedians, though, and prove me wrong, please. Geogre 17:11, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)
