Is there any reason this article is named World Series (baseball)? The only reason I can think of is that there's another World Series around, but I don't know any. Moreover, the World Series article redirects here. I'll swap them unless there appears to be a good reason for this construction; in that case there should be disambiguation at World Series. jheijmans

There are other "World Series" for other sports (such as poker -- if you want to call that sport -- other examples), but these uses always have to be introduced as "World Series of.." to distinguish them from the World Series. I would have brought this up myself but I thought that the fact that I am American might be clouding my judgement. I say go ahead and swap the article/redirect order and make edit links for the other World Series in a "See also" section at the bottom. Don't forget to also fix any broken redirects. --maveric149
Yeah, there are a few other "World Series" - for instance, World Series Cricket which was a pretty important event in cricket history. Generally I would agree with you that most people globally would think of the baseball first. --Robert Merkel
