Birgus Latro (coconut crab)

Just like to let you know that i have seen Birgus latro close to five feet measured across the back carapace however not documented officially I'm from the island of Guam the largest of many islands of the Marianas. When I was growing up we had to rely a lot on our natural resources because our culture wasn't impacted by outside influences as we are now. As a kid we would go fishing around the other islands and make stops to harvest coconut crabs. Of the 14 islands in the Marianas only four heavily populated. Guam is the largest and is the commercial hub of the south pacific. Large coconut crabs still exist in these uninhabitated islands. I gave the information necessary to contact the owner of the image. If you want to contact the guy, go ahead. Otherwise delete the image.

I added that because there is a notice on the relevant website which states that any materials derived from it should have language to this effect. Please see [1]. The WP:DISCLAIM page is talking about information that is redundant with one of the standard disclaimers, and this is not one of those disclaimers. MMM (talk) 10:05, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
