Is this the same Fred Walker that created Vegemite? Perhaps he changed his citizenship prior to serving in WWII? --Misfit 17:53, 3 Aug 2003 (UTC)

No different person, the Vegemite guy died in 1935 [1]. BTW he didn't actually invent Vegemite, it was the scientist Cyril P. Callsiter who was responsible for working out how to turn brewery waste into something palatable. Walker just marketed it. -- Tim Starling 00:52, Aug 21, 2003 (UTC)
