Gypsy discussion[edit]

If you think that discussion was important, you can transfer that particular section to another page, and your comment will be unmolested, and you can write a huge essay if you please. Decius 01:55, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)

While on your talk page, you can do whatever you want, the same rules don't apply to other talk pages. Also, the dicussion itself is GDPL, so I have the right to delete it. Nevertheless, thanks! --gcbirzantalk 02:03, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Hi Gcbirzan,

Please clarify on Meta whether a merge of the two designs is your first choice, or a complete change is.

Hum. I thought I did. I said that a complete change is my first choice, merging header and languages my second and merging the header my third. --gcbirzantalk 16:50, 25 Feb 2005 (UTC)

elegance[edit]

Concerning the proposal for deletion of 1111111111, you wrote:

How is this less notable than (random pick): A simple proof that 22/7 exceeds pi.

I'm surprised. The proof that 22/7 exceeds pi is very elegant. "1111111111" on the other hand, has an enormous amount of arbitraryness in it, in the choice of a base-10 numeral system, in the design of the system of units of measurement of time, in historical accidents, etc. 22/7 is an early convergent in the simple continued fraction expansion of π, and is thus a very natural non-arbitrary thing to consider, and the simplicity and the elegant pattern in the integrals involved does not result from arbitrary human choices. If I had to judge you on this comment alone, I'd have to say you're an uncouth Philistine. Michael Hardy 20:00, 1 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Radu Ştefan Mazăre[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Radu Ștefan Mazăre, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Stormbay (talk) 21:08, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Local Baron, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Local Baron. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Pcap ping 11:09, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
