Atreides Battle Language[edit]

Article apparently created to clarify an inaccuracy on an article linking to it. 119 02:42, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • Comment: The red link that led to the creation of this substub was added to the list of fictional languages by User:MakeRocketGoNow. I think we should ask him his sources before deciding either way, especially as the creator of this article was an anon, and I have now done this. No vote for the moment. • As far as I can recall the Ateides battle language is part of the original Dune series, as well as showing up in the film by Lynch and the TV miniseries. The current article content is nonsense, but the article itself is valid. Keep.--Centauri 05:22, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Here's a quote from the original Dune novel which specifically refers to "Atreides battle language": [1]. I've rewritten the article accordingly. --Centauri 05:31, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Fancruft. Dune is a brilliant book, but this is mere trivia. Indrian 07:54, Dec 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. No useful content, and the capitalisation is incorrect, it should be Atreides battle language according to technovelgy.com. So whether we want an article on the topic or not, we should just delete this. It's probably simple vandalism. Andrewa 09:49, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete as Dunecruft. Wyss 15:19, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete as there's no reason this bit of trivia should be a separate article. Short mention on the Dune article if noteworthy there, otherwise no reason to exist. DreamGuy 15:47, Dec 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • I have merged and redirected to House Atreides. [[User:Meelar|Meelar (talk)]] 20:26, Dec 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • Is it meant to be Chakobsa ? - u can find it in the glossary of the first book or here at Dune terminology thanks, user:max rspct
