Ms Louck's edit, I think, violated Wikipedia's NPOV rule and also may have violated its rule regarding 'commercial' postings. I attempted to combine the more neutral aspects of her post with a revert.

I removed the external link to Horse Whispers and Lies because that refers to a separate subject about the Marvin Roberts, the senior. This documentary is only about a documentary made by the BBC which aired in the US on PBS and on QED in the UK. The entire subject pertains to Monty as he sets out to Join-Up with a wild mustang (Shy Boy) without fear, without force, and without enclosures. I removed a couple of fanboy comments. Lil (talk) 06:23, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Monty Roberts is a fantastic man who does all that he can to make the world a better place for horses:) There should be more people in the world like him :)

monty rocks =D

The goal of Wikipedia articles is not to be partisan. Partisan reactions to Roberts have been a great problem on both the side of negative reactions and the side of positive reactions. I am going to have to revert much of what has been added (on 1 or 2 January 2006) and adjust other content as well in order that this article does not become a battleground for users with partisan opinions. --- I reverted the article to an earlier, more NPOV version. Roberts daughter (or someone using her name) had converted the article to what was tantamount to an advertisement for him. Ed and Patrick, I think your skillful contributions are needed to make the article satisfactory for all. Lil, 6 January 2006

Stub no good[edit]

There is a lot of information in previous article versions, such as the May 2004 P0M version.

I'd like to see restoration of:

  • observation of Mustangs in the wild
  • anything about how Monty "came up with" the idea of join-up.

In other articles (like the Monty Roberts bio) I'd like to see:

  • anything and everything about his relationship with father
    • claims of being beaten
    • counter claims that he made it all up
  • his criticisms of other techniques, such as tying the legs and/or torture

Sigh. It's like starting over from scratch. --Uncle Ed 14:42, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
