Squick[edit]

A mere dictionary definition. I'd say "move to Wiktionary", but Wiktionary already deals with this, and offers the revolting etymology behind the original definition, rather than pussyfooting around it. -- The Anome 16:03, Nov 24, 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: Slang, already (sigh) at Wiktionary. (Since "Star Trek" ran from 1972, who do they imagine is going to be "frightened" by Vulcans? How old would those squares have to be?) Geogre 18:28, 24 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete because it's more dictionary-ish than encyclopedish. Bonus that it's already at wiktionary. --Improv
  • Current text is overly SF fan-ish, but the term is probably more used among sadomasochists, as in "I thought it would turn him on when I waved the knife in front of his face, but he totally squicked." Wiktionary rather than Wikipedia is fine.
    • If memory serves the origins are fannish; came from Usenet at some point. I daren't imagine how it gets used now. Shimgray 01:11, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete This is covered in Wiktionary; adding a few inside-jokes doesn't make it an article. Extremely unencyclopedic. Remove posthaste.Zantastik
