Disambiguation link notification for May 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of people from East York, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ron Taylor (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 14:31, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't tag works in progress[edit]

Your recent drive-by tagging of the OA&PS article is unneeded. I assume you didn't see the history, which would have demonstrated this to be a work in progress. Maury Markowitz (talk) 14:51, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:504 King Streetcar.JPG or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! January 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Royal Canadian Curling Club may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • to cycling activities, the club has featured skating, baseball ,[Ice hockey]], curling, and ten-pin bowling. In 1953, the club decided to focus exclusively on curling

File permission problem with File:Lotta-Colour-LoRez.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lotta-Colour-LoRez.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

 • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
 • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add OTRS pending to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as non-free fair use or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 12:20, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion pending for File:Lotta-Colour-LoRez.gif[edit]

Hello, Atrian. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Lotta-Colour-LoRez.gif — was tagged with OTRS pending, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

 • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
 • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 15:34, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I realize that this was quite some time ago, but I found some information in my teacher resource searching that led me to your past blog. In case you didn't already know the history (which I doubt), here are a couple of pages from a Teacher Resource booklet sponsored by a Council of the Canadians Plastic Industry Association (hopefully attached, but the name is "The Elevated Wetlands: Teaching Resource: Grade 6,7,8"). One has to be aware of the obvious bias in the mentioned resource book, but it is still interesting why the "wetlands" were created, and that they probably do do an okay job of filtering the water from the Don. Is there a plaque or anything describing what is happening in the "wetlands"? The trees seem small for their age... they would have been 12 years old at the time of your blog. Brian

A heads-up[edit]

You moved Castle Frank to Castle Frank Brook.

I think this was a bad idea. Castle Frank is now, and was then, a notable topic, meriting a standalone article.

I looked at the version you redirected, and I do not agree that it was mainly about the brook. Geo Swan (talk) 04:28, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
