"Over 100 students" with nothing else to do but smear shaving cream on windows and doors with their bodies. The information probably belongs in the Rice entry. --[[User:Tony Sidaway|Tony Sidaway|Talk]] 21:02, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Agreed. Merge. --L33tminion | (talk) 21:22, Dec 17, 2004 (UTC)

  • Weak merge, although I can absolutely see a point in not associating this with the Rice article (and thus deleting it). Think about it: if you're considering sending your kid to Rice, and you come here to look up information, and this is what you see, what impression will you be left with? --PacknCanes 06:06, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)
    • I can see your point. But should we be sweeping embarrassing facts under the carpet? I think the question is whether this little ritual is significant enough to mention at all on Wikipedia. If it is (which I doubt) it should at least be mentioned in the main Rice article, with a separate article on its own if it is significant enough. --[[User:Tony Sidaway|Tony Sidaway|Talk]] 06:42, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • No, we shouldn't be in the business of doing away with embarrassing facts, and I realized after I commented that I probably opened up a whole new can of worms. What worries me about merging this is that it has absolutely no academic or social connection to the University; it's purely coincidental that it happens at Rice rather than, say, at U. of Houston. Like I said above, I can go either way. If the consensus says merge, which it looks like it will, then that's cool. --PacknCanes 19:21, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)
