"Melencholia I" is Durer's original title for the picture. Whatever article name we move this to, we should note that the picture is generally known by that name in the scholarly community. The Anome

I think "Melancholia I" is best, because that links directly to "Melancholy" and the original name can be mentioned on that page. (What's the difference between "in the scholarly community" and "among scholars", apart from the length?)
And what's even more confusing, Durer called it "Melencolia I" (no 'h')... Jacquerie27 13:17 Apr 27, 2003 (UTC)
