Movie Poster[edit]

Hi have you checked that your movie poster images aren't copyright violations? Secretlondon 23:37, Dec 11, 2003 (UTC)

Minneapolis[edit]

What is the copyright status of the image Media:Minneapolis skyline daytime.jpg you uploaded? I am thinking of nominating it as a Featured picture candidate. Thanks. LUDRAMAN | T 19:49, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)

JHC Boston[edit]

MattSal, what is the copyright status of Image:John Hancock Center (Boston) daytime.jpg? Did you take this photograph? It has been nominated on Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates and is only being opposed because the copyright status is unknown. Also, if you have a larger version (say 800x600) it would be OK to upload it. Please respond on WP:FPC. - Gaz 16:06, 22 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Just got your message about deleting this image. Pity, it was a stunner. - Gaz 14:22, 16 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

General Complaint[edit]

Matt, it seems as if you've done a lot of good work on the wikipedia, and you should be proud of that. I do note that, in many of the photos you upload, you reference them as "fair use", but you do not state the source, which leaves us only to trust your word (without verification). I suggest that you, in the future, note where you got the photo from, as then someone can check to see if the source photo is really covered under public domain, fair use, or the FDL. I would also invite you to help yourself to the photos on my personal page [1] as all those photos are under the GNUFDL (just state where you got them). I have photos from around the world there... Jacksonville[edit]

I have a question about the Jacksonville picture: who took it? You? TheCustomOfLife 18:56, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Melbourne[edit]

On July the 1st 2004, Melbourne was nominated as a Featured Article Candidate. Four people are objecting because they don't know where the pictures you took came from. (and thus the article is under Contested Status at present). Where did they come from? Who took them first, and from where did you gain access to them? I would appreciate it if you could answer next week or the week after. Thank you, EuropracBHIT 08:16, 3 Jul 2004 (UTC)
