P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).

Redirect[edit]

Why the weird juggle to get a redirect for Barry Goldwater? Why not just add the redirect? -- Jmabel | Talk 23:30, Oct 26, 2004 (UTC)

All you have to do is edit the page that you'd like to have as a redirect. The entire contents should be something like "#redirect target page". That's it! -- Jmabel | Talk 04:41, Oct 27, 2004 (UTC)

I meant that I thought you gave it a position of excessive prominence on the page, that it was better suited to go towards the end of the article. Not that I have any problem with it. Are you its creator? I went to the webpage and I did think it looked interesting, quite an endeavor, too. Everyking 01:27, 5 Nov 2004 (UTC)

"Insert Image Here"[edit]

When you took out the placeholder image on USS Tecumseh (SSBN-628), you also took out the formatting that would have allowed someone who happened to have a picture to simply drop it in. The image is kind of ugly, but it serves its purpose well enough.

Well, I agree--it is sort of an eyesore--but sooner or later an actual picture of the boat will turn up. Unfortunately my usual source, http://www.navsource.org doesn't have one clearly marked as having a wiki-compliant copyright.
