I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

I've noticed you uploading images without mentioning their copyright status. Wikipedia can only use images that can be distributed freely; please see the Wikipedia:Image use policy for more details. Copyrighted images that are uploaded without permission are subject to deletion. JRM 22:28, 2005 Mar 13 (UTC)

Can you please add copyright tags to your uploaded images. See the policy and update the pictures accordingly. If you do not comply with this, the pictures will be deleted. Inter\Echo 22:49, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Picture copyright tags[edit]

You seem to ignore the request to add tags to your images, so I will put them up for deletion. If you wish to discuss this further, feel free to leave me a message. Inter\Echo 23:12, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)

It's important, not just that you tag your images, but that you tag them correctly. You have tagged many of these images as public domain, but it's obvious these images are not actually in the public domain. I'd suggest you stop uploading images until you get a better handle on copyright. – Quadell (talk) (sleuth) 01:02, Mar 14, 2005 (UTC)

Thank you. —MetsBot 19:08, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:8888.jpg[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:8888.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 82.83.98.101 08:50, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Jackbean.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:39, 31 August 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 16:39, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
