Those wacky wikilinks[edit]

If you want to make LRS link to Long Range Surveillance, you simly put the new name inside the link, seperated by a |, as follows:

[[Long Range Surveillance|LRS]]

Your result will be this: LRS.

Sorry, perhaps I was not being clear. If an article already exists as a name, ie Long Range Surveillance, and I want it to be searchable by a common synonym (LRS) how do I go about that? As it is now, searching for LRS or LRRPS return no results, even though the page exists under a different name.

I think I understand. Perhaps what you wish to create is a "redirect" page.

To do this, create a new article called LRS (click on this red link to do that). In that article, place only the following text:

#REDIRECT [[Long Range Surveillance]]

Whenever anybody goes to the "LRS" page, they will be automagically forwarded to Long Range Surveillance!

Beer cat question[edit]

It has been suggested by User:BrianSmithson and supported by User:Syrthiss that the Beer and brewery categories should be renamed. This proposal has been supported and expanded by myself. The notion is that the regional categories should follow the format of "Beer and breweries in Africa" /Europe/Asia/North America/South America/Oceania. "Brewers and breweries" could also be renamed "Beer and breweries by region". And all the countries should also be renamed (and merged if needed) as, for example, "Beer and breweries of Germany", "Beer and breweries of Britain", "Beer and breweries of Poland". The word in each case would be beer rather than beers to allow for general articles on beer culture in each region as well as individual beers.
