St. Mary's Paper[edit]

Hi! I looked at your article on this mill. It seems like a running log on new stuff that happened, as it happened, but it is not exactly following an encyclopedic style that is kosher on here. Rather than just tag it with fact tags and calling it names (they have neat little pix and templates for that on here that are used by people who prefer to criticise than actually help and fix stuff and I despise those bloody things), I thought I'd get hold of you this way. Why don't you look around and see how articles are written with references, headlines, paragraphs, etc. and give that article another glance. Right now, you have it written such that statements that you made "out of date" by susbsequent news that you added are still in there as new stuff. Your older news is still in there and it is contradicted by the new stuff you put in. I could organise it but I thought I'd let you have a crack at it first. I also found pictures of the place and linked it to the Commons Category on the subject. Then I dug up some external links that seem to back up what you were writing in there, which helps, because otherwise people will just tag it on here as unverified and then the whole things looks like crap. Population of Sault Ste. Marie[edit]

Wikipedia does not cite the population of a city's census agglomeration as the population of the city itself — they are not the same thing. The city's population in 2006 was 74,948; the 80,098 figure is inclusive of suburbs outside the boundaries of the city, like Echo Bay, which are not part of Sault Ste. Marie itself. We can (and already do) note both figures in the article, but we cannot misrepresent which number is which. Bearcat (talk) 00:36, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
