Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia my talk page! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links hints for newcomers:

  • I like it when the discussion is wholly on the same talk page.
    • If you want me to reply on your talk page, then I'll copy the discussion from here to yours.
    • If you reply to something from your talk page here, I'll copy the discussion from yours to here.
    • If the discussion is really about an article, I may copy it to the article talk page.
    • I won't try to keep the copies consistent.
  • I generally don't use personal talk pages, giving preference to article talk pages.
  • Reply is not guaranteed.
    • But I'll try.

Manual do Bixo

Thanks for replying at Wikisource about Manual do Bixo. I think that this contribution would be more appropriate on pt:wikibooks than Wikisource. The difference between the two projects is based on whether the contribution has been previously published. (This is perhaps why I jumped to the conclusion that you could be violating the copyrights of the University.) All items on Wikisource should have been published before. Wikibooks exists for people to write collaborative texts as you suggest. If I can be of more help please let me know on my Wikisource talk page. Eclecticology 07:54, 2004 Oct 23 (UTC)

I understand. There seems to be a little official support onto some official server Wiki. I'll look into that. I'll be removing Manual do Bixo from Wikisource within two to three weeks. Thank you. :) Omar "Ekevu" Balbuena 15:19, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)

FYI

You might find this handy. [1] Cheers, 'man'. --bquanta 06:09, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I'm sorry to have offended you in such a horrible, arrogant and impersonal way. It certainly was not my intention, and this is certainly not how I see the use of the word 'man'. If we can't communicate adequately, we better not communicate at all. Apologies, cheers, and goodbye. --Ekevu (talk) 11:47, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Furry stuff

Hey, thanks for your work on yiff, fursona etc. =:) It's nice to see how many furry Wikipedians there are; we get everywhere, it seems! =;) And I believe we have at least two friends in common - Aimore and Hawthorn - so it's another example of the furry community in action! =:) Loganberry 15:33, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Thank you as well. :) I'm glad to see it being useful. And thank you for making that last section so much clearer amd so on. I'm glad these articles are growing healthy thanks to the furry community! =)
Your name is not new to me, I've seen you somewhere out there-- actually I'm still wondering how you found out I know these great people - Aimoré and Hawthorn. LiveJournal or so? Anyhow... Thanks again! ^_^ -Ekevu (talk) 13:14, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Yep, it was LJ, as you've now discovered for yourself. =:) One quick question, though - on the yiff article, you've added "either effectively or desiderably" - what do you mean by "desiderably", please? Loganberry 23:28, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I meant something in the sense of "I wish I could..." as opposed to "I can easily..." Ekevu (talk) 13:37, 24 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Voting history

Hello there! :) I was just wandering around Wikipedia and sumbled into your talk page. Since you're keeping track of what you vote, I got interested on where are these votes. :) --Ekevu (talk) 17:45, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Both of them I found while wandering around looking at Vfd and the Recent changes page. Nice to meet you. }:) --Sillydragon 21:57, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Hi Ekevu. I notice that your user page has a category tag. This has the effect of putting your user page into the general WP space which is probably not how categories should be used. --Lee Hunter 01:30, 3 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I removed it promptly, but apparently the categories usage has changed... ≈ Ekevu (, ) 21:19, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Furry Wikipedians

Heya. You don't know me, but I'm a fellow fur here on Wikipedia, and I'm trying to get all the furries on Wikipedia together on a category, just for fun. All you'd have to do would be to copy and paste [[Category:Furry Wikipedians]] into your user page, and you'd be added to the list.

If you'd do that, I'd be grateful.  :) Almafeta 16:15, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

Thanks. I added it, but apparently someone created an userbox. Well, great!

Usercategorization

You were listed on the Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Brazil page as living in or being associated with Brazil. As part of the Wikipedia:User categorisation project, these lists are being replaced with user categories. If you would like to add yourself to the category that is replacing the page, please visit Category:Wikipedians in Brazil for instructions. Rmky87 06:39, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

Added. Thanks. ≈ Ekevu (, ) 21:19, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

hi, sorry for interruption, could you please see to the NPOV of exclusion of Brazil from this article. It was there until a month ago, and some guys keep excluding South America and Brazil from what I believe is its just place (and I am not alone, since these previous edits were there long before, to include Brazil). thanks Perroot 21:52, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

I'll take a look at it, no promises. :) Ekevu (talk) 16:43, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

Re: Templates

Both templates were originally used on my user page and talk page. I took them off when I started the survey though. The Template:Neutral user talk was later used as a base for the beginning of the Wikipedia:Once upon a time... page, but that didn't work out. If you feel a strong need to do something, go ahead, but I would prefer that you didn't. Thanks RENTASTRAWBERRY FOR LET? röck 03:25, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

I won't. I assumed you had not used them, since you were listing them there. Fortunately, I was wrong. ≈ Ekevu (, ) 21:19, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

hmm.

You made the statement that the blog post at http://www.timboucher.com/journal/2005/12/16/furries-plushies-otherkin/ was "widely cited original research"

Can you please cite your source for this statement? As it stands, the link violates WP:RS, which states that "Personal websites and blogs may never be used as secondary sources." On it's face, "Tim Boucher.com" is a personal website. Do you have reason to believe it is not? Please note that the cite was added to the article by a linkspammer. Hipocrite - «Talk» 01:23, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

Ack! Sorry. I somehow thought you removed another link ([2] by David Rust)... Yes, that link I reverted back into the article is a blog and it does violate RS. I'm sorry again. ≈ Ekevu talk contrib 14:13, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for going back and changing the tone. :) Happy editing! --AySz88^-^ 01:44, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

And thank you for pointing it out! ^_^ ≈ Ekevu (, ) 21:19, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Possible impersonation

Hello. Anonymous user 147.210.245.2 (talkcontribs) has manually signed a comment as you in Talk:Portuguese language (see diff). Could you please confirm whether you're the author of this message? Thank you! ≈ Ekevu (, ) 13:49, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

I confirm : when I'm at school, I'm not everytime loggued. So I write my User:NAME , that's more convenient. (see lusophone)Yug (talk) 00:25, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

PS : Lyhana8 is my brother, sometime I use his account by mistake too. ... In this case I think "Lyhana8" was me. Yug (talk) 00:30, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
Ok... I'm glad this has been cleared out. Four editors have been actually one. :) • Ekevu 17:06, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

En-5

Since like me, you are a native speaker of Portuguese who contributes to the English-language Wikipedia at a high level, you may wish to consider changing your Babel definition in the Pt version to "En-5" (which I have recently created) from "En-4." "En-5," which has existed for some time in the En Wikipedia defines a user who can contribute at a level comparable to that of a well-educated native speaker, but is not in fact one. If you feel that you fall into this category, I would greatly appreciate if you made the change, since I would then no longer be the only user in it. (Wfgiuliano 01:23, 22 March 2006 (UTC))
