The Mike Church game?[edit]

Q1: What is the "Mike Church game"? How is it played? Is that just another term for Ambition?

A: Hey anonymous, "The Mike Church Game" is exactly like The Game except that in if you think about Mike Church or the The Mike Church Game, you lose. --Clydeiii 20:33, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Q2: Why would anyone think of Mike Church?

A2: Well, back in the day, around the time The Mike Church Game was invented, we would lose TMCG everytime we lost The Game. But since then, we only lose it when we actually think of Mike Church, which isn't often. But happens from time to time.

Q3: Wouldn't thinking of The Mike Church Game in conjunction with thinking of the Mike Church be required in order to recognize loss? You can't know you've lost a game without thinking about the game itself.

A3: Hopefully one remembers TMCG when one remembers Mike Church, but sometimes it doesn't happen.

Q4: Does Mike Church know about this game? That would make him TMCG's biggest loser because it's hard not to think about oneself.

A4: Not to my knowledge, though it's certainly possible. We could write him a message via Wikipedia.

Q5: Who is Mike Church? What about him is interesting?

A5: Well, I think you already know! It was YOU that brought up Ambition, his game. But if you really don't know, see Mike Church. He's rather interesting. I sort of worked with him last summer. He invented Ambition, and he admitted to crying while masturbating during a game of "I never." Since he has so many connections to games in my mind, he deserves his own game as well!

Hi Clyde. Let me make a correction. I said that I never did that. That's completely opposite what you put up.
For those unfamiliar with the context, "Never Have I Ever" is a game where people come up with scandalous things they've not done, and anyone who has done it has to take a drink. The first person to have to take 10 drinks in this way is the loser/most corrupted person. I was out of things to say, and decided to play off Chapelle's joke: "Never have I ever cried while masturbating". I never have; the thought of anyone doing this is horrifyingly creepy. The joke got some laughs but, as I expected, no one had to drink anything. It was just a funny thing to say, and I was drunk at the time of saying it.
So, correction: I never have done that, as was clear; I just made a joke about it. Mike Church 01:52, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Really? I could've sworn you drank on that one... --Clyde 15:09, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Maybe I drank just to get drunk faster, but no, I've never done that. Anyway, I apologize for engendering the misconception. Mike Church 3 July 2005 20:15 (UTC)

Ambition?[edit]

Hi Clyde. I'm moving out to the Maryland area, and I'm a card gamer. I see that you mentioned The Game in conjunction with Ambition. Is Ambition pervasive out there?

How does the game work? Is it a good game? I've been looking for something to play besides Hold 'em.

Thanks. Ajax the crumb 04:43, 26 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Are you Mike Church? --Clyde 04:52, 26 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
No. I take it you're not, either. Ajax the crumb 17:19, 26 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Please don't screw up process by posting notices to Digg, etc., about AFD and DRV discussions and thereby drawing in dozens of otherwise-uninvolved people to make it more difficult for the admins.
