hello, this article is about a famous Charles I. I am evil_scholarship

Charles I was originally born in Dunfermline, the son of James I and Anne of Denmark born at the beginning of the 17th century. After Charles father died, he became the king, then later that year he married a fifteen-year old girl called Henrietta Maria the daughter of Henry VI of France. Henrietta was a catholic and was able to stay that way even after their marriage. They had six children: Charles(1630-1685) Mary(1631-1660) James(1633-1701) Elizabeth(1635-1680) Henry(1640-1660) Henrietta(1644-1670)

At the time, King Louis XIII was having trouble with some puritans (Huguenots) in France. Parliament insisted to help, but Charles did not want trouble with her wife or brother-in-law, but he agreed at last and sent eight ships to France. But when the ships arrived, Charles then later sent a order that they should help France instead of the other way round. ALthough the captain and the crew refused to accept the order, parliament was extremely angry of Charles change of heart. So when Charles later called parliament and asked for 1 million pound, only 150,000 pound was actually received. Then they asked Charles if he can sack his chief minister, George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham. Although plot was already made, one was made by sir Hugh, earl of Strafford and a member of parliament of Scarbourough. Charles could not perform tax collecting without parliament agreement because of the magna carter, so he tried robbing a spanish treasure ship, but that didn't work out. When he called the parliament again for the second time for money to fight the scots, they still refused because of his illegal action of raising money.
