Merging[edit]

The entry Hydraulic empire has existed for several months, no need to create redundant entries ;)

I propose that this entry, Hydraulic despotism, be merged into the larger, older entry Hydraulic empire. — Foobar 08:40, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Are they really the same? I think that a hydraulic despotism refers to a form of government, while a hydraulic empire refers to specific instances where this form is applied. They two terms are for sure very related, but I'm not sure if they are same. Let's at least put a link to the Hydraulic empire until this is resolved (were it not for this discussion, I wouldn't have even looked for Hydraulic empire - I saw the term Hydraulic Despotism in a book called Antiquity by Norman F. Cantor and a lookup brings you right here). --Mikiher 22:20, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)
I think these terms are different and should not be merged. If there's more about "Hydraulic Despotism" than the Dune its article should be updated, otherwise perhaps a merge with Dune makes sense. Pavel Vozenilek 23:24, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
