Happy New Year from Tony the Marine 02:50, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I wish you and your loved ones all the happiness in the world this coming year.

Adriano da Gama Kury[edit]

Hi, Stormie. I'm just puzzled by the quickness of the deletion of the page. I spent some time working on it and for me it's still unclear why the article is not worthy appearing in the Wikipedia. I have seen pages on virtually every single nonsense or stupidity, obscure artists, episodes of tv shows, fictional species of Star Trek, you name it... AGK boldly offered a new approach to the Brazilian Portuguese Grammar in the 60s and his books are best sellers on the subject. For me this qualifies as relevant. Maybe I failed to express this properly in my text. And thanks for your offer to send me a copy of the deleted contents. I don't have a backup for this and would be glad if you could do me this courtesy. Cheers. Vae victis 12:50, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks! I'll see if I can provide the needed sources and turn this article in stg more standard. Cheers. Vae victis 09:25, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shadowclan Sockpuppets[edit]

This article seems to have many sockpuppets supporting it and will not allow another AFD. "shadowclan" is an online gaming guild not notable. Bobbythebuilder 01:19, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

After reviewing the two deletion discussions [1][2], it seems to me that actually, there is a broad consensus that this gaming clan is just barely notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Are there any particular comments on those discussions that you believe to have been made by sockpuppets? --Stormie 06:27, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hulk Smash[edit]

I noticed that you deleted my recent article on the Hulk Smash phenomenon. I must inform you that you have erred in doing so. The Hulk Smash is a legitimate phenomenon and has swept my high school and several other across the state of Pennsylvania by storm. Though I have nothing against the great country of Australia, I believe that your place of residence inhibits your ability to adequately learn of culture and goings-on in the state of Pennsylvania, located in the United States, in case you failed to realize.

I ask that you un-delete the article so that further preparations can be made to it and that others in PA may add to it.

If there is anything I may do to the article itself to ensure a place on wikipedia for it, please let me know. I understand you have edited thousands of articles, and your advice could prove invaluable for mine. Is there any way I should word it? How should I format it? Any advice you could give on making the article better would be greatly appreciated.

I ask again that you please un-delete my article. It is a legitimate thing in Pennsylvania, and I would have no hesitiation in saying that thousands of people across the Eastern Seaboard could vouch that it is indeed a very real concept.

Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lorac268 (talkcontribs) 04:21, 27 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Yes, it was made up by high school students. So was Google. So was Ultimate Frisbee. So were plenty of other things that have become huge only years afterwards. The Hulk Smash, though not as concrete as the last two, is one of these things. Again, I ask that you undelete the wikipedia article, or those of us who are a part of the Hulk Smash phenomenon will take action. Please, save us both the trouble and allow this to be posted. The Hulk Smash has ascended from a joke to a real thing and deserves a spot on wikipedia regardless of its content matter.

As you all know, some hacker cracked my password and I have been stripped of my admin powers. I can understand an admin. being blocked, but stripped of his powers without a fair hearing or consensus, I can't. I have stated that I changed my password and would like my powers back, however the chastizing going on in [[3]] has sadden me. It doesn't matter how many articles you have written, contributions you have made or how many years you have dedicated to making this project a credible one. A hacker, it seems has the power of making people consider you an untrustful person and turning some people in the community against you.

I have never abused of my powers and I have used Wikipedia as a medium to educate others. Yes, I have no regrets about having made so many contributions to the Pedia. I exhort all of my friends here to make sure that their passwords are strong ones so that you will not have to go through what I am going through.

I did promise some of my friends a couple of articles and as a good Marine I will keep my promise. To my friends here, Thank you for your friendship. Tony the Marine 23:56, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pledge of Allegiance[edit]

Hi Stormie -

I respectfully disagree with your decision to remove Dr. Baer's Pledge of Allegiance link from the Pledge of Allegiance page. It is not a commercial site - there is nothing for sale anywhere on this site. However it is an important reference book - in fact, the U.S. Supreme Court used it as their first footnote in the 2004 Elk Grove Unified School District v. Newdow decision - see [4]. I do admit to a conflict of interest, however - I am related to Dr. Baer and host his book chapters as a family favor to him. Perhaps a third party can judge whether the link is useful or inappropriate.

Mistake! I'm partly to blame. Plz. refer Tughlugh Timur.[edit]

The Merge and Speedy deletion tags were unnecessary. I was mainly mislead by the facts in Tughlugh Timur:

"He tried to rebuild the empire of his idol Genghis Khan. He viciously attacked Persia, India, and the Ottoman Turks. He died while marching on China." These were what Timur (not Tughlugh Timur) did.

However plz. also refer to Cumbum,_Tamilnadu, where I've added another "db" tag. Thanking You, AltruismTo talk 07:10, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to say that Cumbum seems to be the official name, not Kambam. Plz. refer to this government site. Thanking You, AltruismTo talk 06:03, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
An interesting fact I observed is that Cumbum, Tamil Nadu and Gudalur are towns in Theni district of Tamil Nadu state. In the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh there are neighbouring towns named Cumbum, Andhra Pradesh and Giddaluru. Interestingly, Theni district has a large population of migrants from Andhra Pradesh state. --AltruismTo talk 06:03, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Cumbum, Tamil Nadu. I have performed a cut-paste from Kambam. I have also redirected Cumbum, Tamilnadu (the state's name is wrong, without a space.) I have also corrected Cumbum (the disambiguation page.) I've placed a request (speedy deletion) for a history merge on Cumbum, Tamil Nadu.--AltruismTo talk 11:17, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Red Bar Radio[edit]

I was just wondering if you could offer me an explanation of why the article on 'Red Bar Radio' was deleted? From the deletion log of 18 months ago, it seems that it was incorrectly deemed to be spam. Red Bar Radio is a professional Internet radio show and podcast which frequently ranks in the top 10 podcasts on Podcast alley, which is arguable the main source of podcast rankings and information and it was even nominated for a Podcast award at the Podcast and New Media Expo 2006. The Wikipedia article held a lot of interesting and useful infomation and history on the show's 5 year history, if there is any way on reversing the decision to delete the article I think it would certainly be the right thing to do.

I should also make it clear that I am in no way affiliated with the show, thank you for your time.

The show has also been features on the front page of iTunes, as well as in the comedy section.

Galago (disambiguation) points to only one disambiguation topic: Galago (software). The Galago primary meaning topic linked in the intro doesn't need to be disambiguated; it is the primary meaning. New To Wikipedia[edit]

I am new to Wikipedia and don't know all of the etiquette but I was disappointed to see that some time ago you removed the link to the owners pages on the Twilight Zone and The Addams Family. Pinball is a dying art, there is only one major manufacturer in the USA and the hobby is mainly supported by home enthusiasts. Pinball owners pages serve many useful roles. They enable owners to share ideas and views about sourcing, maintenance and modifications and reinforce the community spirit of owning a table. I originally bought my first table through contacting the previous owner on a page. Your comment on removing the links was "how is this a useful external link?" Well I hope I have answered that. Please add a comment to this as I would hate to add the links again only for you to delete them. ChrisGrahamUK 08:42, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Telugu script[edit]

Your edit to Telugu script seems to be in violation of Wikipedia:Protection policy.

"Admins should not edit pages that are protected due to a content dispute, unless there is consensus for the change, or the change is unrelated to the dispute. However, this should only be done with great caution, and administrators doing so should indicate this on the article's talk page."

I note that your edit came virtually at the same time that I protected it. Perhaps you started your edit before I protected the page? In any event, I'm just giving you a "heads up" in case anybody squawks.

Please try to resolve the dispute on the Talk Page.

I am not a sock (I changed the whole suit)[edit]

The only other account I've used was positively mediocre and undisruptive, and maybe boldly misguided. Not that I'm less misguided, but I wanted to change usernames. I like this one better. Can I be Frank? (Talk to me!) 01:35, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

I appreciate your point of view on the CoF article. Unfortunately, I probably should not edit the article any more today as they will try to report me most likely, however, you could edit yourself, or I will try again tomorrow. I don't understand what they don't get! Like you said, it was printed in their official bio by their record company and they have stated it themselves. I think this makes it a little more notable than a bunch of wrong/ fake labels that some idiot fans and critics came up with, and therefore should not be in the same list. I mean, come on, I'm not asking for a lot, just one sentence, will that compromise the whole article? Navnløs 23:16, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely agreed. In my opinion CoF has elements of all those genres you mentioned: gothic metal, symphonic black metal and "dark metal." I also understand the situation and the little patience exhibited by other users. Hopefully, an agreement can be made. I have a feeling that some users are quite protective of what is now in place, as it has prevented some arguemnt for at least a while, I assume. Navnløs 17:46, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The deletion of the icecore open source software page[edit]

I don't understand why the icecore (software) page was deleted so quickly. Should it also be deleted from the List of Collaborative Software page as well? There is at least 100 other open source software projects listed in Wikipedia, what allows some to be listed and others not? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emcconne (talkcontribs) 03:40, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I have emailed you the pre-deletion content and history list of Circles (comic book) per your request on WP:DRV. If you can confirm that it arrived OK, I'll close your request. Cheers! --Stormie (talk) 23:58, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It arrived safe and sound. Thanks! GreenReaper (talk) 00:14, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uncensored from Texas Death Row[edit]

Thanks for your reply regarding the deletion of Uncensored from Texas Death Row. I saw it mentioned in several articles and thought it deserved an article of its own, even more so after I had found a lot about it on the web. Then I noticed it used to exist on Wikipedia. I just wondered why it had been deleted and what the article was at the time it was deleted. I do not have any intentions at the moment to build on it further, so I don't think it would be reasonable for me to request it to be restored. Thanks. wjmt (talk) 01:42, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any chance you can restore it to my user area as I still am curious as to what it said? Thanks. wjmt (talk) 02:14, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for restoring it! Despite what I said earlier, I couldn't resist editing and adding a little bit. wjmt (talk) 04:08, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
