Heaven

I removed this POV interpretation that was added without attribution. I am not sure it even has place in the Heaven article.

• Bible tells us that a few people including Apostles will go to heaven to rule the people in the earth (John 14:1-3; Rev. 5:9,10; 14:1-5), and the others including David will receive the earth to live forever(Matt. 5:5; Acts 2:34; Rev. 21:3-5).

Hmm. I removed because I don't think talking about who will receive what in heaven is a good focus for the Heaven article. If anything, I would remove a bit of the sectarian beliefs that are already there and stick to the basics. I also removed because I think it would fit better in the beliefs section of the Jehovah's Witness page. I think we could probably get away with some mainstream views such as heaven is a place of reward, and hell is a place of torment. But particular views of a particular party are out of place in a general article. This all has to do with the Wikipedia NPOV policy. The non-negotiable policy of Wikipedia--neutral point of view. LDS are non-trinitarians. We believe in the Godhead, and in some languages, that is called the Trinity. But the Trinity is a particular doctrine that God is one being, yet three persons. We don't believe that. Tom 05:50, 10 Apr 2004 (UTC)

You might consider putting the information above into the paragraph in the Heaven article that starts "Religions which have a heaven differ on how one gets into it." Something like, "Jehovah's Witnesses don't see heaven as ... for all humanity, but rather as ... for ...." I think such a contribution would be appreciated. Tom (hawstom) 19:42, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Your recent edits in Heaven are POV. I am not going to remove them immediately, lest I start an edit war. Can you please improve the NPOV by explaining that the Bible is thusly "interpreted" rather than "says". Also, it might be good to discuss your thoughts and intents on the Heaven talk page. That would be the best place to come to a consensus on difficult matters. IT might also be good to move all the above material to the talk page for the article. Human

I have a short favor to ask of you. The Human discussion is getting strong, and I think it would help to lay our cards on the talbe so the "secularists" can see just how different is our point of view on just what is a human. But at the same time, I want to be able to get a "generic" (ha ha) religious view.
